The term “Gymkhana” is commonly used in India to refer to a social and sporting club that organizes and promotes a variety of skill-based, sports, cultural, and co-curricular activities.
At Government Engineering College, Palanpur (GECPL), the Gymkhana Committee provides students with opportunities to discover, develop, and showcase their talents and interests beyond the classroom. The Committee facilitates student participation by providing the necessary infrastructure, resources, guidance, and opportunities to pursue activities of their choice.
Participation in extracurricular activities, along with academic pursuits, contributes to the holistic development of students. Such activities help students develop teamwork, leadership, creativity, communication, discipline, confidence, and other skills that contribute to their personal and professional growth.
